News from our Beneficiaries

"For the last 25 years, the North Fork Breast Health Coalition has supported local breast-cancer patients with programs such as the Helping Hand grants. Now, we also have a Stage IV Fund that provides additional grants to metastatic patients and supports local Stage IV research. Proceeds from events such as our annual Pink Pearl Gala, our recent 5K Walk at Tanger and the Shelter Island Run allow us to continue to provide free services such as gentle yoga, massage therapy, reflexology and "Strength for Life" classes to breast-cancer patients and survivors. For more information about NFBHC and the services that we provide to breast-cancer patients and survivors who reside in the North Fork area, visit www.northforkbreasthealth.org."

"To all of you who have been diagnosed with breast or gynecological cancers please reach out to us 631-204-9331. Often people are uncomfortable asking for help but please remember you are not asking – we are offering. You are Not Alone!"

President

"On July 16th the office of Lucia’s Angels and the Coaliton for Women’s Cancers was flooded by a torrential rain storm. Although there were damages and the office was no longer workable, Stacy (Lucia’s Angels president) and Susie (the Coaliton’s president) were able to find a silver lining. After weeks of searching they found a new space at 71 Hill Street in Southampton. The new office is approximately 4 times larger and can now accommodate meetings, support groups, wellness programs and storage. The increase in rent will pay off in the long run as the organizations will no longer have to pay an outside facility to host programs and store supplies.

Stay tuned for news of the upcoming open house!"
