The Shelter Island Fall 5k was created out of love and
memory for those who fight breast and women's cancers. 

Our mission is to raise funds and awareness for our beneficiaries;
The North Fork Breast Health Coalition
The Coalition for Women's Cancers at Southampton Hospital and Lucia's Angels

All race proceeds for our beneficiaries go direct to
patient care for women in the east end of Long Island.

The 18th Annual Fall 5K Run and 5K Walk
Saturday, October 21st, 2017
11 a.m. at Crescent Beach

In addition to medals for the top finishers, awards will be made for the first place breast cancer survivor runner and walker respectively.

Prize will be awarded to the Team with the most participants.

A free shuttle bus will transport participants from the North Ferry to the staging area between 9 and 10:15 a.m.
and back to the North Ferry until 1 pm. For more information call 631-774-9499.

SOUTH FERRY TO RACE LOCATION:
Follow Rt 114 north through town center to IGA stop sign – continue left on Rt 114 – make the next left turn onto West Neck Rd (County Rd 115) – proceed straight through first stop sign until you reach Crescent Beach.

SOUTH FERRY FROM NEW YORK CITY:
Take Queens/Midtown tunnel. Take 495 east until to Exit 70. Turn right at "yield" sign to Route 27 east. Continue on 27 through the town of Bridgehampton. At traffic light, turn left onto County Road 79 through Sag Harbor (4 miles) to Stop sign at flag pole. Go left over bridge on 114 north for 3 miles to the South Ferry.

SOUTH FERRY FROM THE LONG ISLAND EXPRESSWAY (495):
Take 495 East to Exit 70. Turn right at "yield" sign to Route 27 east. Continue on 27 through the town of Bridgehampton. At traffic light, turn left onto County Road 79 to Sag Harbor. Take 79 through Sag Harbor to stop sign at flag pole. Go left over bridge on 114 for 3 miles to the South Ferry.

NORTH FERRY TO RACE LOCATION:
Follow Rt 114 south, passing Chequit Inn – as Rt 114 bears left, continue straight to New York Ave – at first stop sign, turn right onto West Neck Rd – continue straight on West Neck (County Road 42) to Crescent Beach

NORTH FERRY FROM NEW YORK CITY:
Take the Long Island Expressway (I-495) east to the last exit, exit 73. The off-ramp will lead you directly to Suffolk County Route 58 east. After about three and one half miles, County Road 58 will merge into Route 25 east. Continue on Route 25 east for about 20 miles to Greenport. Watch for signs marked "To Route 114 South." These signs will direct you to turn right onto Sixth Street. Drive one block and make your next left on Wiggins Street ("To 114 South"). 

At the end of Wiggins Street ferry traffic makes a hard right turn and continues turning right to enter the final staging area. The ferry line takes you away from the ferry, around a loop, and back in line facing the ferry dock and passenger terminal. 

There are no reservations - traffic is boarded on a first come first serve basis. Vehicles and bicycles pay on board, we accept cash and checks only.

NORTH FERRY FROM NEW ENGLAND VIA ORIENT POINT:

Use the Cross Sound Ferry to reach Long Island. Reservations are required - use this link or call (860) 443-5281 to make a reservation.

When you get off the Cross Sound Ferry, in Orient, Long Island, you will be on Route 25 west. Travel about seven and three quarters of a mile west on Route 25 to a blinking yellow marking an intersection with Main Street. Turn left, still on Route 25 west. Go eight tenths of a mile more and turn right at the next blinking light onto Front Street - still on Route 25 west. After passing straight through the next traffic light, take your third left turn on Sixth Street. This turn has a sign marked "To 114 South". Continue to follow the signs for 114 South and make your next left on Wiggins Street.
